According to the legend, around 730 B.C. the Remus' sons, Aschio and Senio, escaped from Rome and from their oncle Romolus. They arrived in the highest peak of Siena - the so called: the " Third of the City "- and, together with few more pastors, erected a fortified wall around which the city of Siena arose.
