The reason is that we do not want to have contracts with them as we don't want to oblige our customers to travel along with 25 more tour groups made of 40 people each ... doing same things at the same time. Getting in the museums in numbers of 1.500 at the same time. It's absolutely CRAZY ! We do arrange group excursions on request from 1 to 200 passengers (Incentive Tours on board) as well as your family cruise vacation to Rome. How does it work ?

Our limousine service (or minibus or bus) along with our driver will be at the Rome pier (Civitavecchia) as you disembark to pick you up and bring you into the city of Rome where you meet your private assigned guide (if we are avaialble, one of the three of us) and would then be at your disposal for the full day of sightseeing of Rome.

The limousine or minivan along with the driver will facilitate things and optimize the little time you have for your one day trip to Rome as most of the sites are quite spread out and the public transportation and/or taxis are not always so reliable in the Eternal City.

At the end of your day the driver would then drive you back directly to your ship. Transfer to the Rome pier lasts about 1h 15 min.

NOTE on payments:

To confirm any tour, we require either a deposit or full prepayment by Visa-MasterCard + 20% VAT on top.
In case you wish to pay the deposit, it will be charged at cost + 20% VAT and then the balance by cash to your assigned tour guide. The amount of the deposit depends on which kind of tour is selected.
